The Domain Name System (DNS) is a critical component of the internet, responsible for translating human-readable domain names (e.g., example.com) into machine-readable IP addresses. This process allows users to access websites and services without needing to memorize numerical IP addresses.
When using a PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) or IPoE (IP over Ethernet) based internet connection, your router is typically configured to automatically detect and apply the appropriate DNS settings provided by Webvault. This automatic configuration ensures seamless connectivity without the need for manual DNS setup.
If manual configuration is necessary, you can use the following DNS Cache Servers. Ensure you use at least two servers for redundancy.
